ABOUT
Elisabeth Stenseth
Visual artist, art historian (educated at the University of Oslo) and webdesigner.
My journey into the art world began with a «click». I got my first camera 20 years ago, and hiked the woods with my dog. Photography became a lifestyle, my very own way of thinking and expressing emotions. It followed me everywhere: at home, school and on vacation. My friends shaked their heads: «What’s the point? That’s not a motif.» I don’t know why, but I kept going.
In high school, my focus was somewhere else. I thought I wanted a secure job – «nine till five» – and applied to law school. That didn’t work out. Then landscape archicture, but it wasn’t free and creative enough. Eventually, I found my way to the University of Oslo and the bachelor programme in Art History and Visual Studies. It felt like coming home. While studying art history, I attended courses in painting and drawing.
